Studio Policies & Procedures

REGISTRATION

Upon enrollment, all parents/guardians are required to complete our New Student Registration Form, which will be provided at your dancer’s first class. A non-refundable annual registration fee of $40.00 is charged for all new students upon enrollment. Families with two or more students shall receive $5.00 off for every additional student (2 Students = $75.00 | 3 Students = $105.00).

Annual registrations are due August 20th each year. Annual registration fees paid in May, June or July will not be due until August of the next year.

Students who miss four consecutive classes will be required to re-register and pay a new registration fee upon returning to class(es).

TUITION

Tuition is due by the first of each month. Courtesy invoices are emailed on the 22nd of the preceding month.

Tuition is calculated based on the entire dance year (Jan. - Dec.), and is the same each month, even for those shortened by holidays/closures. There are no refunds, credits, or transfers.

Tuition must be paid by ACH bank transfer or credit/debit card. A processing fee of 3.5% will be added for every credit/debit card transaction. A processing fee of 1% with a minimum of $1.00 will be added for every ACH bank transfer transaction.

Tuition is based on each dancer’s weekly class time.

DROPPING A CLASS(ES)

If for some reason, you decide to drop your dancer’s class(es), you must give written notice by the 22nd of your dancer’s last month using the Studio’s Withdrawal Form provided upon enrollment.

There are no prorates or refunds if you decide to drop a class(es) in the middle of the month.

Dancers participating in either the Holiday or Annual recital, must be enrolled in their recital class(es) through the month of December for our holiday recital, and through the month of June for our annual recital.

ATTENDANCE

Students are expected to attend every class, and to arrive on time. Progress in class, including advancement in class levels, depends upon the student’s regular attendance and consistent class participation. Important warm-up exercises are conducted at the beginning of each class, and arriving late causes disruption. Students who arrive more than 15 minutes late, may not be able to participate in class.

Attendance during recital time is very important. If a student misses too many classes during recital time, it is at the discretion of the instructor as to whether the student will be able to perform.

All recital rehearsals are mandatory. If a student misses a rehearsal, they will not be permitted to perform and no refunds will be provided.

STUDENT DROP OFF

Dancers cannot be dropped off more than 15 minutes before class time.

All dancers must be picked up within 10 minutes of their last class. A $10 late fee will be charged for every 10 minutes that a dancer is not picked up.

All dancers must be picked up or take a class if a break is longer than 30 minutes unless otherwise arranged with the administration.

Thank you for understanding that our drop-off and pick-up policy is to ensure the safety of our dancers and faculty.

RECITALS

We have two dance recitals each year, and all students are welcome and encouraged to participate. This is where you (as well as family and friends), can see the progress your dancer has made, and provides an opportunity for all of our dancers to showcase their talents and hard-work. Recitals are held in June and December.

There are participation fees which include fees and costs for costumes. Students will be required to attend rehearsals, some of which will be scheduled outside of your student’s normal class times.

HALLOWEEN SHOWCASE

We have an annual Halloween Showcase every October. Dancers wear their own Halloween costume of their choosing but should be mindful that they are still able to fully dance while wearing their costume.

PARENT COMMUNICATION

All communications and correspondences, including invoices, receipts and newsletters are sent via email.

DANCE ROOM ETIQUETTE

Dancers need to use the restroom and get water before class(es). Water breaks may only be taken when given permission by the instructor. If a dancer has an emergency and needs to use the restroom during class, they must ask permission from their instructor. Only one dancer will be permitted to use the restroom at a time.

Dancers should be on their best behavior while in class. Unsportsmanlike conduct, including but not limited to the use of profanity, is strictly prohibited and will not be tolerated. Respect should be given at all times to parents, instructors, & fellow dancers.

Any dancer misbehaving may be asked to leave the classroom. Continual misconduct may result in dismissal from the Studio.

There is no running, hanging on the barres, food, gum or drinks, other than water, permitted in any of the Studio classrooms.

Street shoes are not permitted on the dance floors. This applies to parents/guardians and dancers alike.

WATER

Dancers are to bring their own water to class, rehearsals and performances.

STUDIO CLOSURES

The studio will be closed for all major holidays. All studio holidays and closures can be found on our studio calendar.

*Our complete Studio Policies & Procedures are provided upon enrollment at our studio.

COVID-19 GUIDELINES & PROCEDURES

Updated Tuesday, February 28, 2023

As of February 28, 2023, the Governor terminated the state’s COVID-19 State of Emergency. He also phased out the executive actions put in place since March 2020 as part of the pandemic response.

California’s COVID-19 State of Emergency is over, but COVID-19 has not gone away. To safely go about our daily lives, we need to keep taking steps to prevent the spread.

Please rest assured that we are continuing to do our part to keep all dancers and families safe with sanitizing and preventative measures as appropriate.
